Hunt Test

There is nothing more rewarding and fulfilling to a good hunt than a well-trained retriever. Conversely, nothing can be more disruptive to a hunt than an untrained retriever. By tapping into your retriever’s most innate prey instincts, we foster and cultivate a true desire to perform the task they were born to do. Once a solid foundation of communication and understanding is established, we guide your retriever in mastering the structured art of retrieving—enhancing performance, strengthening your bond, and elevating your hunting experience for years to come.

Programs

Basic Retriever Training (3-month minimum

Builds a strong foundation in essential skills, including:

  • Obedience & Fetch Conditioning

  • Retrieving single downed birds to hand

  • Exposure to various hunting scenarios (ground blinds, pits, boats, tree stands)

 

Advanced Retriever Training (6-month minimum)

Expands on the Basic Program with advanced skills such as:

  • Retrieving multiple downed birds

  • Whistle commands & advanced handling

  • Cold blind retrieves

 

Hunt Test Training

Prepares dogs for approximately 20 AKC and HRC tests per year, including Master National and Grand events.

  • Enhance your dog’s pedigree by earning retrieving titles through AKC and HRC-sanctioned tests.

  • Prove their capabilities and increase both their individual and genetic value through documented performance.

  • Test fees and travel expenses apply.

Pricing

Basic Retriever Training

Minimum 3 months - $1,000 for the first month, $800 for each additional month.

 

Advanced Retriever Training

Minimum 6 months - $1,000 for the first month, $800 for each additional month.

Payment Policy

To make training more accessible, we require the first month's payment upfront. Each additional month's payment is due at the beginning of that month. We understand dog training is an investment, and some clients may hesitate to commit. However, our flexible payment structure allows you time to manage the cost while still getting the high-quality training your dog deserves.

Inclusions

All training programs are board and train and they include:

  • Weekly progress videos

  • Dog food (Purina Pro Plan)

  • Live bird fees for retrievers
